Elizabeth started learning Kung Fu in 2016 along with her siblings to connect with her culture. She enjoys learning self-defense techniques and the satisfaction that comes with perfecting her forms; ensuring that each movement is done with purpose. As an instructor, Elizabeth hopes to promote a fun and safe environment for students to learn Kung Fu while enjoying all the additional perks it has to offer. Learning Kung Fu has helped Elizabeth become more confident in herself; and by teaching, she aims to pass along the benefits of Kung Fu to her students. Elizabeth graduated from UBC in 2022 with a BSc in Biology and a minor in Neuroscience. Outside of Kung Fu, Elizabeth volunteers at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum and enjoys reading, playing with her cat, petting her cat, and admiring her cat’s cuteness in general.
